How to attach files to an email in LAWD Mail and save attachments to LAWD Box
Updated
Quick answer
To attach a file in LAWD Mail, click “Escrever” (Compose), then “Anexar” (Attach) to pick from your computer or phone, or “Do LAWD Box” (From LAWD Box) to pick a stored file. Each attachment can be up to 15 MB. On received emails, every attachment has buttons to download it, open a PDF and save it to LAWD Box.
In LAWD Mail, attachments work hand in hand with LAWD Box: anything you receive can go to the Box in one click, and anything in the Box can go into an email without downloading it first. This tutorial covers attaching, receiving and the size limits. To write and send, see how to compose, reply and forward.
How to attach a file
The compose window has two buttons at the bottom: "Anexar" (Attach), which opens files on your computer or phone (you can pick several), and "Do LAWD Box" (From LAWD Box), which opens the "Anexar do LAWD Box" window with your folders. While files upload you'll see "Anexando…" (Attaching) and the Send button waits until they're done.
Step by step
- Click "Escrever" (Compose), or "Responder" (Reply) or "Encaminhar" (Forward).
- Click "Anexar" (Attach) and pick one or more files of up to 15 MB each.
- To use a stored file, click "Do LAWD Box" (From LAWD Box), open the folders and click the file. "Voltar" (Back) goes up one folder.
- Check the attachments below your message. The X next to a name removes that file.
- Click "Enviar" (Send) once "Anexando…" disappears.
- On a received email, click the attachment's name to download it.
- To keep it, click the disk icon, "Salvar no LAWD Box" (Save to LAWD Box): it goes to the "Anexos do e-mail" (Email attachments) folder.
PDF attachments
On a received PDF, the book icon, "Abrir (ler e anotar)" (Open to read and annotate), opens the LAWD PDF reader without downloading. You can highlight, draw and add text, then click "Salvar no Box" (Save to Box) to keep the annotated copy. The full walkthrough is in how to annotate and highlight a PDF.
Limits and messages
