LAWD Mail is LUME's free email service. It gives you your own address, yourname@lawd.me, with clean webmail and the same sign-in as the rest of the LUME and LAWD apps. This guide covers what the free account includes, what the screens look like and where to start.
The LAWD screens are in Portuguese today. In these articles, each button appears with its Portuguese label in quotes followed by what it means, like "Escrever" (Compose).
Who LAWD Mail is for
LAWD Mail is for anyone who wants a simple, free email address with no ads in the inbox and no phone number required to sign up. It works for personal use and for solo professionals who want to keep work email apart from their everyday inbox. If you already use LUME Hub, you get the @lawd.me on the same account and can sign in with either address.

LAWD Mail sends from LUME's own mail server, set up with DKIM, SPF and DMARC, the records providers check to tell whether an email is legitimate.
The LAWD Mail screens
At mail.lawd.me the page has four parts:
- Top bar: the "Buscar nos e-mails" (Search mail) box, the "Apps" button (nine dots) and your photo, which opens "Configurações da conta" (Account settings) and "Sair" (Sign out).
- Left strip: the Mail, Agenda (Calendar), Box and Contatos (Contacts) apps. Calendar opens at agenda.lawd.me and Box at box.lawd.me, already signed in.
- Folders: the "Escrever" (Compose) button and the folders Entrada (Inbox), Rascunhos (Drafts), Enviados (Sent), Arquivo (Archive), Spam, Lixeira (Trash) and "Com estrela" (Starred). On a computer, the bottom shows storage used ("de 1 GB"), "Avisar quando chegar e-mail" (Notify me of new mail) and "Usar no celular" (Use on your phone).
- List and reading pane: your messages, with a dot for unread and a paper clip for attachments, and the open email with "Responder" (Reply), "Encaminhar" (Forward), star, mark as unread and trash.
For privacy, remote images stay hidden until you click "Mostrar imagens" (Show images), because they tell the sender you opened the email. With the tab open, new mail shows up on its own every minute.

LAWD Mail and the other apps

Under the "Apps" button, the "Também com a sua conta" (Also with your account) area links to LAWD Assistant, LAWD Browser, LUME Hub and LUME Land, all with the same sign-in as your @lawd.me.

Is LAWD Mail really free?
Yes. The @lawd.me address, the 1 GB mailbox and up to 100 sent emails a day cost nothing. LAWD Calendar and LAWD Box come with the same account.
Do I need a phone number to sign up?
No. Sign-up asks for your name, the address you want, a password and a recovery email, which gets a 6-digit code.
Can I change my address later?
No. The @lawd.me address can't be changed after it's created, so the sign-up screen asks you to choose carefully.
Where can I open LAWD Mail?
In the browser at mail.lawd.me, inside LUME Hub (the LAWD Mail app), and in your phone's mail app or Outlook with an app password.
I already have a LUME Hub account. Do I need another one?
No. Create your @lawd.me from inside the Hub. After that you can sign in with either email: the one you already used or your @lawd.me.
