How to create a free email account with LAWD Mail (no phone number needed)

To create a free @lawd.me email, open mail.lawd.me/criar and enter your name, the address you want, a password of 8 or more characters and a recovery email. Click “Continuar” (Continue), type the 6-digit code sent to that email and click “Criar” (Create). No phone number or credit card is needed.
Creating a LAWD Mail account takes a few minutes and doesn't ask for a phone number or a card. You pick the address, confirm with a code sent to your other email and land in your new inbox. If you're new to the service, start with what LAWD Mail is.
The sign-up screens are in Portuguese, so each label below appears in quotes followed by its meaning.
Before you start
Have a recovery email outside lawd.me ready (Gmail, Outlook or any other). It receives the confirmation code and, later on, the link to reset your password. Think about your address too: it can't be changed later.
Step by step
- Go to mail.lawd.me/criar (or click "Criar o meu LAWD Mail grátis" (Create my free LAWD Mail) on the sign-in page).
- In "Seu nome" (Your name), type the name people will see on your emails.
- In "Seu endereço" (Your address), type the part before @lawd.me. Below it you'll see "seunome@lawd.me está livre." (is available) or the reason it can't be used.
- Create a password of 8 or more characters. The eye icon shows what you typed.
- In "E-mail de recuperação" (Recovery email), enter your other email and click "Continuar" (Continue).
- LAWD Mail runs a quick anti-robot check ("Conferindo que você não é um robô…") and sends the code.
- On the "Confira o seu e-mail" (Check your email) screen, type the 6-digit code and click "Criar seunome@lawd.me" (Create yourname@lawd.me).
- You'll see "Pronto: seunome@lawd.me é seu." (Done: the address is yours) and your inbox opens.
If you already have a LUME Hub account
LUME Hub users create their @lawd.me from inside the Hub, with no code: open the LAWD Mail app in the Hub (or the "Crie o seu e-mail @lawd.me grátis" card on the home screen), pick your address under "Escolha o seu endereço" (Choose your address) and click "Criar seunome@lawd.me". After that you can sign in with your Hub email or your @lawd.me: it's the same account.

Add your photo and signature in email signature and profile picture and get it on your phone with an app password. The same account already opens LAWD Calendar and LAWD Box.
Frequently asked questions
Which characters can I use in my address?
3 to 30 lowercase letters, numbers, periods, hyphens or underscores, not starting or ending with a symbol and without two symbols in a row. Some names, like admin and support, are reserved.
Why do I need a recovery email?
It gets the sign-up code now and the reset link if you ever forget your password. It must be outside lawd.me, like Gmail or Outlook, and it also works as a sign-in for the same account.
How long is the code valid?
15 minutes. If it expires, click “Mandar outro código” (Send another code). After 5 wrong tries the code stops working and you need a new one.
It says “Você já tem conta” (You already have an account). What now?
Your recovery email already has a LUME account. Sign in with it and create your @lawd.me from inside: both emails end up on the same account.
