How to connect your Google Business Profile to LUME Hub
Updated
Quick answer
To connect your Google Business Profile to LUME Hub, open Presence → Meu Negócio (My Business), click “Conectar com Google” (Connect with Google), sign in with the Google account that owns or manages the profile, approve access, then check your business in the “Escolher empresa” (Choose business) window and click “Salvar” (Save). The profile must be verified.
Your Google Business Profile, which many people still call Google My Business, is your company's listing on Google Search and Maps. In LUME Hub it lives on the Meu Negócio (My Business) screen of the Presence app: rating, reviews, calls, directions and the searches people used to find you. Connecting takes about a minute and uses your own Google account.
The Presence screens currently show their labels in Portuguese, even with the app in English. Each label below is quoted as it appears, followed by its meaning.
Before you start
- The profile must be verified by Google. Without verification, Google won't share numbers or allow review replies.
- The Google account you use must be an owner or manager of the profile.
- Your plan must include My Business, which is part of the Growth and Complete plans.
Step by step
- In LUME Hub, open the Presence app and click Meu Negócio (My Business).
- On the empty dashboard, read the permission note and click "Conectar com Google" (Connect with Google).
- On Google's screen, pick the account that manages the profile and check the permission to manage your Business Profile. If you leave it unchecked, LUME Hub warns that the Google Business Profile permission is missing.
- Back in LUME Hub, the "Escolher empresa" (Choose business) window opens with the businesses in that account. Each row shows the address and the Google account.
- Check your business (or businesses) and click "Salvar" (Save). You see "Buscando os números…" (Fetching the numbers) while the first read runs.
- Done: the dashboard shows "Nota no Google" (Google rating), Avaliações (Reviews) and the numbers for the period.
After you connect
The My Business screen has three tabs:
| Tab | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Painel (Dashboard) | Rating, reviews, views, calls, directions and website clicks |
| Atualizações (Updates) | Publishing news, offers and events on your profile |
| Editar perfil (Edit profile) | Changing phone, website, description and hours |
Numbers refresh on their own every day, and the "Atualizar" (Refresh) button pulls them right away. Google takes a few days to finalize its numbers, so the period ends 4 days before today.
Next steps: how to respond to Google reviews and how to post on your Google Business Profile.
Managing the connection
At the top of the dashboard, the "Conta Google" (Google account) button opens the connection, with the status "Conectada" (Connected) or "Expirou" (Expired). From there you can "Reconectar" (Reconnect), change the selected business, "Desconectar" (Disconnect) or "Conectar outra conta Google" (Connect another Google account). If access lapses, the dashboard warns that Google access has expired.
If your business doesn't appear in the list or the connection fails, see Google Business Profile not showing up.
Frequently asked questions
Why does Google ask to “manage” my profile?
It's the only permission Google offers for Business Profiles. LUME Hub reads your numbers and reviews, and only publishes a reply, a post or a profile change when you tell it to.
Can I connect more than one business?
Yes. In the Choose business window, check every business that should appear on the dashboard. When you publish an update, LUME Hub asks which locations to post to.
Can the team connect it for me?
Yes. The screen says so itself: the team can also link it from the admin area if you prefer.
How do I disconnect?
Click “Conta Google” (Google account) at the top of the dashboard, then “Desconectar” (Disconnect). Numbers stop updating, but your history is kept and comes back if you reconnect the same account.
