How to upload a video to YouTube from LUME Hub and track your channel

The YouTube screen in the Presence app does two things: it shows how your channel is doing (views, watch time, subscribers and retention) and uploads videos from your computer straight to YouTube. It has three tabs: Painel (Dashboard), Vídeos e retenção (Videos and retention) and Enviar vídeo (Upload video). YouTube is part of the Growth and Complete plans.

This screen currently shows its labels in Portuguese, even with the app in English. Each label is quoted as it appears, followed by its meaning.

Connect your channel

YouTube has its own Google connection, separate from the other Presence screens.

1. Open Presence → YouTube and click "Conectar com Google" (Connect with Google).
2. On Google's screen, choose the account (or Brand Account) that owns the channel and leave every permission checked: view the channel, YouTube Analytics data and uploading videos.
3. In LUME Hub, in the "Escolher canal" (Choose channel) window, check the channel and click "Salvar" (Save).

If you see a message that the Google account has no YouTube channel, connect with the account that owns the channel.

Step by step: upload a video

1. On the YouTube screen, open the "Enviar vídeo" (Upload video) tab. Read the visibility notice at the top.
2. If you have more than one channel connected, pick one under "Canal" (Channel).
3. Under "Arquivo do vídeo" (Video file), select the file on your computer.
4. Fill in "Título" (Title, up to 100 characters), "Descrição" (Description), "Tags (separe por vírgula)" (Tags, comma-separated) and "Categoria" (Category).
5. Choose "Visibilidade" (Visibility): "Privado" (Private), "Não listado" (Unlisted) or "Público" (Public). Optionally, fill in "Agendar publicação (opcional)" (Schedule publication), at least 15 minutes ahead.
6. Answer "É feito para crianças?" (Is it made for kids?). It's required.
7. Click "Enviar ao YouTube" (Send to YouTube). While it uploads, you can click "Cancelar" (Cancel).
8. The video shows up in the "Envios" (Uploads) list, with a shortcut to open it in YouTube Studio.

Track your channel

On the "Painel" tab, pick a period (from 7 days to 12 months) and see "Views", "Tempo assistido" (Watch time), "Inscritos ganhos" (Subscribers gained) and "Inscritos perdidos" (Subscribers lost), the "Views por dia" (Views per day) chart and the "Mais vistos nos últimos 28 dias" (Most viewed in the last 28 days) list. Numbers refresh on their own every day, and "Atualizar" (Refresh) pulls them right away.

On the "Vídeos e retenção" tab, filter by "Todos" (All), "Shorts" or "Longos" (Long-form). The retention curve appears for your most recent long-form videos, starting 3 days after they're published.

Your data

The "Apagar meus dados do YouTube" (Delete my YouTube data) button removes everything that came from your channel. Data that goes 30 days without refreshing is also deleted, as YouTube's policy requires.
