How to use the Daily checklist with a task timer in LUME Hub

Updated

Quick answer

In LUME Hub, open Management > Daily checklist, click the add task button, give it a title, a block and a classification, and save. To track time, click the play button on the task: the timer only runs on today's date, one at a time. At the end of the day, fill in the day summary and close the day.

The Daily checklist is the Management screen for planning your day, timing each task and building an accurate record of your work. It has two tabs: Meu dia (My day), where you work, and Histórico (History), with the monthly view.

The menu is in English, but the labels inside this screen are still in Portuguese; below, each one appears in Portuguese with its meaning.

Step by step

  1. Open the Management app from the app launcher and choose Daily checklist. The Meu dia tab opens on today.
  2. Click "Adicionar tarefa" (Add task). In the dialog, fill in the Título (Title).
  3. Optionally add a Descrição (Description), a Bloco (Block: the group the task appears in, like "Morning" or "Clients"; left blank, it goes to "Geral") and an Estimativa em minutos (Estimate in minutes).
  4. Pick a Classificação (Classification): Trabalho produtivo (Productive work), Operacional necessário (Necessary operations), Poderia ser delegada (Could be delegated) or Distração ou desperdício (Distraction or waste).
  5. Click "Salvar" (Save). The task shows up in its block.
  6. When you start working, click the task's play button ("Iniciar cronômetro", Start timer). A "Cronômetro ativo" (Timer running) bar appears with the clock running.
  7. When you're done, click "Finalizar" (Stop) on the bar, or the task's button again. You'll see "Tempo registrado" (Time logged).
  8. Mark the task as done by clicking the circle on its left.

Task timer rules

  • The timer only runs on today's date, in Brasília time (Brazil). On any other date, the button says "Cronômetro disponível somente hoje" (Timer available only today).
  • Only one timer runs at a time. Stop the active one before starting another.
  • Time you didn't track goes in through the actions menu (three dots), under "Lançar tempo" (Log time): enter the minutes and, if you like, a note.

If the button doesn't respond, see daily checklist timer won't start.

How to read your day

At the top of My day you'll see how many tasks are done out of the total, how many were unplanned (added on the day) and how much time was logged. Each task shows its estimate, the time logged and when it was completed. The "Dia aberto" (Day open) badge turns into "Dia encerrado" (Day closed) once you close the day.

From the actions menu you can also Editar tarefa (Edit task) or Arquivar neste dia (Archive for today). Archiving removes the task from the list but keeps its history and time.

How to close out the day

At the end of the workday, click "Preencher resumo" (Fill in summary) under "Fechamento do dia" (End of day). The dialog asks for: main results, distractions and bottlenecks, time spent unnecessarily, lessons learned, next priorities and a Nota de produtividade (Productivity score) from 1 to 5. Click "Encerrar dia" (Close day), or "Salvar aberto" (Save as open) to finish later.

If you're in a mentoring program, your mentor can review the day and leave a comment marked "Revisado" (Reviewed) or "Requer atenção" (Needs attention).

Monthly history

The Histórico tab shows the monthly view of your logged work: completion, tasks, unplanned tasks, time logged and distractions, plus how your time splits across productive, operational, delegable and distraction. Use the arrows to switch months.

For to-dos that aren't tied to a specific day, use the Tasks screen: see how to create and track tasks.

Frequently asked questions

I forgot to start the timer. Is that time lost?

No. In the task's actions menu (the three dots), choose “Lançar tempo” (Log time), enter the minutes and an optional note, and click “Salvar tempo” (Save time). It counts toward the day.

Can I edit a past day?

Yes. Pick the date in the calendar at the top; the screen notes that it's an editable, audited history record. You can edit tasks, log time and fill in the summary, but the timer only runs today.

What is an “unplanned” task?

It's a task you added on the day itself, outside the routine already set up, tagged “Não planejada”. LUME Hub counts unplanned tasks per day, at the top of the screen and in the monthly history.

Does removing a task delete its time?

Tasks aren't deleted, they're archived for that day, and their history and time entries are kept. To bring one back, click “Restaurar” (Restore) under “Arquivadas neste dia” (Archived today).
