How to update the credit card on your LUME Hub subscription
Updated
Quick answer
To change the card on your LUME Hub subscription, open My subscription from the account menu, click Trocar cartão (Change card) and enter the new card in the secure Mercado Pago form. Nothing is charged now; future charges go to the new card. USD subscriptions update the card under Gerenciar pagamento (Manage payment), on Stripe.
You change the card on your LUME Hub subscription right in the dashboard, under My subscription. It doesn't charge anything today and applies to your future charges.
This page still shows Portuguese labels, so each one below comes with an English translation.
Step by step
- Click your photo or initial in the top-right corner and choose Minha assinatura (My subscription).
- On the subscription card, click Trocar cartão (Change card). When Mercado Pago provides it, your current card brand shows in parentheses.
- In the Trocar o cartão (Change card) window, read the note: nothing is charged now, and future subscription charges go to the new card.
- Enter the new card details in the secure Mercado Pago form and confirm.
- Done: you'll see "Cartão trocado" (Card changed), and future charges go to this card.
Card details are typed into the Mercado Pago form inside the window; LUME Hub doesn't store your card number. The Trocar cartão button only shows while the subscription is active.
When a payment is overdue
If a charge fails, the subscription status becomes Pagamento pendente (Payment pending), and the account page shows an alert at the top, "Pagamento da assinatura em atraso" (Subscription payment overdue), asking you to update your card so you don't lose access, with a Resolver (Fix) button. Change the card using the steps above. Once the subscription is current, plan changes and the other buttons work normally again.
While your first payment is still being confirmed, the page says it's confirming your payment. As soon as Mercado Pago approves it, your plan shows up. If the order was declined, the page says the last payment wasn't approved and nothing was charged, and you can pick the plan again.
USD subscriptions (Stripe)
If you subscribe in US dollars with an international card, you pay through Stripe. In that case, instead of Trocar cartão, My subscription shows Gerenciar pagamento (Manage payment), which opens the Stripe customer portal: that's where your card, invoices and cancellation live. When you come back from Stripe, the dashboard tells you once the payment is received.
Where to see your charges
At the bottom of My subscription, the Cobranças (Charges) list shows each payment with its date, the period it covers or a prorated adjustment from a plan change, and its status. To switch plans, see how to upgrade or downgrade; to stop your subscription, see how to cancel.
