How to create a content calendar for Instagram in LUME Hub
Updated
Quick answer
To create a content calendar in LUME Hub, open the Content app, go to Editorial calendar and click Novo roteiro (new script). Add a title, date and time, platform and format, then click Criar conteúdo (create content). Repeat for every post of the month and track it all in calendar or list view.
The LUME Hub Editorial calendar is where you plan your content month: every post has a date, platform, format, script and production stage. This tutorial shows how to build a social media content calendar from scratch and how to track the month afterwards.
Before you start
- The Editorial calendar is included in the Essential plan and up, and in the free trial.
- To create and edit posts you need edit access. If the calendar is part of your own plan, you can edit; if the team that works with you builds it, you can only view it.
- Decide how many posts you want each week and on which networks. The calendar supports Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads and Facebook.
Step by step
- Open the app launcher (the nine dots at the top), choose Content and click Editorial calendar.
- Pick a view: Calendário shows the month as a grid starting on Monday; Lista groups posts in a list with filters. Use the arrows and Hoje (today) to change month, or Ir para (go to) to pick a month and year.
- Click Novo roteiro (new script). In the dialog, fill in Título do conteúdo (title), Data e hora da publicação (publishing date and time), Plataforma (platform) and Formato (Reels / Vídeo, Carrossel, Estático or Story).
- Optionally choose a Pilar (pillar) and write the Gancho (the hook for the first 3 seconds). The script can wait.
- Click Criar conteúdo (create content). The post appears on the chosen day; without a date it goes to the Aguardando agendamento strip.
- Repeat for every post of the month. Then write each script, as shown in How to add and edit posts in the content calendar.
How to track the month on the calendar
Four numbers at the top sum up the plan: posts in the plan, published, progress and the next post. When the plan has videos, the Prioridade em vídeo (video priority) panel shows how many have a script, how many are waiting to be recorded and which one is next, with shortcuts to open the next video and the Execution kit.
In the grid, each day shows up to three posts and a +N for the rest. Colors follow the legend: no date, published, coming up (3 days or less), late and planned.
How to filter posts in list view
Lista view has filters for Mês (month), Semana (week), Formato (format), Pilar (pillar) and Status (pending or done). If the account has more than one profile, a Perfil (profile) filter shows too. Each post has a checkbox to mark it as done and a Ver detalhes → (see details) link. The side panel shows how many are done and the split by profile, format and pillar.
What comes next?
With your posts in place, record them using the Execution kit. If you work with a production agency, scripts go through client approval before shooting. To understand why planning this way works, read What is an editorial calendar.
Frequently asked questions
Can I drag a post to another day on the calendar?
Not in the Editorial calendar. To change the day, open the post, click Editar roteiro (edit script), change the publishing date and time, and save.
Is there a week view?
The calendar has two views: Calendário, with the whole month, and Lista, a list. In list view, the Semana (week) filter shows only one week's posts.
Can I create a post without a date?
Yes. It shows in the Aguardando agendamento (waiting to be scheduled) strip above the month, flagged as having no date, until you set one.
Why don't I see the new script button?
The Novo roteiro button only shows for people who can edit the calendar. If the team that works with you builds your calendar, ask them to enable editing.
