How to create an online course in LUME Play under your own brand

Updated

Quick answer

In the Console, open Meu Play (My Play) and click Gerenciar cursos e alunos (Manage courses and students). On the Cursos tab, click Novo curso, add the title, category, description and cover, and save. Under Aulas, click Nova aula and paste the YouTube or Vimeo link. Turn on Publicado and click Salvar curso to publish it.

Meu Play is your brand's course area, styled like a streaming service: courses with covers, rows by category and video lessons. It lives at your brand's address under /play, and your clients sign in with the same login they use on the dashboard.

The Play admin is shown in Portuguese, so each label below appears exactly as on screen, with a translation.

Before you start

  • Your brand's Play comes with the white-label plans.
  • Your brand needs an address, a subdomain or a domain. Without one, the screen says the Play hasn't been set up yet. See how to use a custom domain for your client dashboard.
  • Upload your lesson videos to YouTube or Vimeo first: each lesson uses the video link.

Step by step

  1. In the Console, open Meu Play. Optionally change Nome do seu Play (your Play's name) and click Salvar (Save). If it ends in "Play", that word shows in your brand color.
  2. Click Gerenciar cursos e alunos (Manage courses and students). The Play admin opens in a new tab.
  3. On the Cursos (Courses) tab, click Novo curso (New course). The course starts as a draft and the editor opens.
  4. Fill in Título (Title), Categoria (Category, which becomes a row on the home page) and Descrição (Description).
  5. Under Capa (imagem) (Cover image), click Enviar (Upload) or paste the image link. Optionally add a Capa em loop (vídeo) (looping cover video), which plays muted on the card.
  6. Click Salvar curso (Save course).
  7. Under Aulas (Lessons), click Nova aula (New lesson), enter the Título da aula (lesson title), paste the Link do vídeo (Vimeo/YouTube) and click Salvar aula (Save lesson). Repeat for each lesson.
  8. Turn on Publicado (Published) and click Salvar curso again. The course now shows in your Play.

Course options

The text and video at the top of the page are set on the Página inicial (Home page) tab.

Plans and students

On the Planos (Plans) tab, a plan bundles courses: click Novo plano (New plan), name it, check the Cursos incluídos neste plano (courses in this plan) and leave Ativo (Active) on. Then, on the Usuários (Users) tab, pick each person's plan.

On that same Usuários tab, you approve (Aprovar) or block (Bloquear) people who signed up through the link. Your clients and team get in without approval and show up there after their first visit.

To charge for access, see how to sell with Mercado Pago: payment unlocks the course or plan automatically. For the concept, read what is a membership area.

Frequently asked questions

Where are the lesson videos hosted?

Each lesson uses a YouTube or Vimeo video link. You host the video where you already do and paste the link into the lesson.

Who can watch the courses in my Play?

Your clients and team sign in directly with their dashboard login. People who sign up through the Play link stay pending until you approve them on the Usuários tab.

How do I unlock a course for only some people?

Turn on Bloqueado (Locked) in the course. It then opens only for people with a plan that includes it or for people you add under Liberação avulsa deste curso (one-off access).

Why don't students see my course?

Draft courses don't show. Turn on Publicado (Published) in the editor and click Salvar curso. The Play button appears on clients' dashboards once a course is published.

Can I offer LUME courses to my students?

Yes. On the Cursos da LUME tab, pick published LUME Play courses to unlock. They appear at the bottom of your Play's home page.
