How LUME Hub meetings work: browser video rooms with their own link

Updated

Quick answer

LUME Hub meetings are video rooms that open in the browser, with nothing to download. You create a meeting, copy the link or send email invites, and approve who joins from the waiting room. Inside, there's chat, screen sharing, background blur and host controls. Meetings are included in every plan.

Meetings is LUME Hub's video calling tool. Every meeting gets its own room and a unique link that opens in the browser on a computer or phone, with no app to download. The screen describes it as LUME Hub's own video rooms, with a unique link and email invitations.

The meetings screens still show Portuguese labels when the app is set to English. In this section, each label is written as it appears, followed by a translation.

Who it's for

Use Meetings to talk with clients, close sales and meet with your team without another tool. It's included in every LUME Hub plan (Essential, Growth and Complete). The people you invite don't need an account: the link is enough.

Where to find it

In the menu, the screen is called Minhas reuniões (My meetings) and it sits in the Vendas (Sales) app, next to your pipeline and leads, because that's where most meetings happen. You can also find it with the search at the top (Ctrl+K on Windows, ⌘K on Mac) by typing "reuniões". To learn the app launcher and search, see Getting started.

How it works, start to finish

  1. Create: under Nova reunião (New meeting), name the meeting, pick the planned start and length, and decide whether to use a Sala de espera (Waiting room) and a Código de acesso (Access code).
  2. Invite: copy the link with Copiar link (Copy link) and share it anywhere, or use Convidar (Invite) to email a personal link to up to 20 people at a time.
  3. Join: each person opens the link, tests their camera and mic, types their name and clicks Entrar na reunião (Join meeting).
  4. Run it: as the host, you admit people from the waiting room, mute or remove participants, lock the room and end the call for everyone.
  5. End it: when you're done, Encerrar para todos (End for everyone) closes the room. The link stops accepting new people.

What's in the room

FeatureWhat it does
Waiting roomThe host approves each person before they join
Access codeA 6-digit code for people who didn't get a personal invite
Meeting chatText messages between admitted participants
Screen sharingShows your computer screen to everyone
Background effectsBlur, or an office or living room background
Speaker view / Grid viewSwitches how you see participants
Lock roomBlocks new people from joining, except the host

Meeting statuses

Each meeting in the list shows a status: Agendada (Scheduled: created, not started yet), Ao vivo (Live: the host has joined and the room is open), Encerrada (Ended) and Cancelada (Canceled). An ended or canceled meeting doesn't accept anyone: guests see a message saying the meeting has already ended. Without a start time, the card says Sem horário definido (No time set).

Best practices for client meetings

  • Keep the waiting room on: you see who's arriving before they join, and no one lands in the wrong conversation.
  • Turn on the access code when the link will be shared in a group or in public: only people with the code get in.
  • Send email invites to clients: each one gets a personal link, and people with a LUME Hub account also get a dashboard notification.
  • Join a little early with the Entrar (Join) button to test your camera and mic calmly.
  • End the meeting when you're done, so the link doesn't stay open.

The link looks like lumehub.me/call/abc-defg-hij: three short blocks that are easy to read out over the phone. If you use LUME Hub under your own brand, the link uses your brand's address. Email invites send each guest a personal link, which skips the access code.

Frequently asked questions

Do the people I invite need a LUME Hub account?

No. Guests open the link in their browser, type their name and join, with no account and nothing to install. People who already have a LUME Hub account also get a notification in their dashboard when you invite them by email.

Which plan includes meetings?

All of them: Essential, Growth and Complete. A meeting link only works while the account that created it still has the Meetings module.

Can I join from my phone?

Yes. The room opens in your phone's browser, with camera, microphone, chat and a button to switch between the front and back cameras.

Are meetings recorded?

No. LUME Hub video rooms don't record audio or video. The meetings list keeps each meeting's name, planned start time, length and status.
