How to fill out the brand brief in LUME Mentoring

Updated

Quick answer

Open Brand briefing, answer each block's questions in plain language and move on with Próximo. Your answers save on their own as you type. On the last block, click Concluir briefing to send it to the LUME team, which uses your brief to build your content plan with AI.

The Brand briefing is where you explain who your brand is: what you stand for, who you talk to, how you sound and how you produce content. It's the source material for the plan, the calendar and the scripts made during mentoring.

What does the brand brief ask?

The brief is split into blocks. In the standard version, the blocks are: Perfil público (public profile), Posicionamento (positioning), Persona, Identidade (identity), Convicção (beliefs), Repertório (repertoire), Reputação (reputation), Tom de Voz e Estilo (tone of voice and style), Referências (references), Mercado (market), Redes e Momento Atual (channels and current moment) and Logística de Produção (production logistics). For law firms, the screen becomes Briefing de Comunicação Jurídica, with its own blocks.

Answer in plain language, the way you'd explain your brand to someone on your team. Some questions ask for a list: write one answer per line. The questions and labels on this screen are in Portuguese.

Step by step

  1. In the Mentorship app, open Brand briefing.
  2. Check the numbers at the top: Respondidas (answered), Bloco atual (current block) and No bloco (in this block). The block list on the left shows how many questions in each block you've answered.
  3. Answer the questions in the open block. Each one is tagged "respondida" (answered) or "pendente" (pending).
  4. Move forward with Próximo (Next) and back with Anterior (Previous). To jump to another block, click it in the list on the left.
  5. Answers save on their own shortly after you stop typing. The button at the top reads Salvo (Saved); when something is still unsaved, it reads Salvar alterações (Save changes), and you can click it to save right away.
  6. On the last block, click Concluir briefing (Finish brief). The screen confirms with "Briefing enviado" (brief sent).

After you submit

The screen switches to Briefing concluído (brief complete), with your answer count, the number of blocks and the status Completo (complete). The LUME team uses your brief, together with the assessment, to build your strategic plan with AI. See how to use your marketing plan.

Need to fix something? Click Editar respostas (Edit answers). The brief opens again with everything you already wrote.

Tips for a brief that actually helps

  • Be specific: "I serve med spa owners in Austin" says more than "I serve businesses".
  • Use real examples of posts, clients and phrases you often say.
  • Under references, name accounts and brands you admire and say why.
  • Under production logistics, say how much time you have to film and who helps.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to fill out the brief in one go?

No. Your answers save on their own as you type, and the block list shows what's left in each one. Come back anytime and pick up where you left off.

Can I change my answers after submitting?

Yes. On the Briefing concluído (brief complete) screen, click Editar respostas (Edit answers). The brief opens again so you can adjust anything.

What happens after I finish the brief?

The screen confirms the brief was sent and that LUME will generate your plan with AI. The finished plan shows up on the Planning screen.

Do I have to answer every question?

The more complete it is, the better the plan. The screen marks each question as answered or pending and shows overall progress so you know what's missing.
