Why can't I move cards on my kanban board?

On a LUME Hub kanban board, a card won't move when you have viewer access, you're in list or calendar view, you drag from the middle of the card instead of the move handle or, on a phone, you don't hold the touch for a moment. If a move error shows, retry or use Mover para (move to).
Dragging cards between columns is the heart of kanban. When a card won't budge in LUME Hub's Boards (Kanban), the cause is usually one of these, from most to least common.
1. You have viewer access
Shared boards give either Leitor (viewer) or Editor access. Viewers see everything but can't move, create or edit cards. A typical sign: the Adicionar coluna (add column) and Adicionar cartão (add card) buttons don't show.
Fix: ask the board owner to open Compartilhar (share) and switch your access to Editor. Only the owner sees that button.
2. You're not in Kanban view
Dragging only works in Kanban view. In Lista (list) and Calendario (calendar) views, cards show but can't be dragged.
Fix: at the top of the board, click Kanban.
3. You're dragging from the wrong spot
Cards are dragged by the handle to the left of the title, the dotted icon labeled Mover cartão (move card). Clicking the middle of the card opens its details instead. With a mouse, the drag starts after you move a few pixels.
Fix: grab the Mover cartão handle and drag it to the column.
4. On a phone, the tap was too quick
On touch screens you need to hold the handle for a moment before dragging. A quick tap scrolls the screen, which looks like the card won't move.
Fix: tap the handle, wait a moment, then drag. Or use Mover para (move to) inside the card.
5. A move error appeared
The Hub saves the new position right away. If the connection fails, you'll see Erro ao mover (error moving) and the card snaps back.
Fix: check your internet and try again. Alternatively, open the card and pick the column under Mover para.
What if the whole board won't open?
The message Quadro não encontrado ou sem acesso. (board not found or no access) appears when the board was deleted or the owner removed your access. Click Voltar para Quadros (back to boards) and check whether it's still under Compartilhados comigo (shared with me).
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I'm a viewer or an editor?
The board owner sets it in the share window. As a viewer you see everything, but the add column and add card buttons don't show. Ask the owner to make you an editor.
Does the column's card limit block moves?
No. The card limit only turns the column counter red when exceeded; the card still goes into the column.
Can I move a card without dragging?
Yes. Open the card and pick the column under Mover para (move to). It works in any view for people who can edit.
