How do you play LUME Land?
In LUME Land you don't just walk around: you work, save money, buy a lot, build your house and open your business. The path, in order:
- Create your character. Pick a look and a name and step off the ferry. See How to create your character in LUME Land.
- Get a job. Take an opening in the "Negócios" (Business) app, clock in at work and get paid on the 5th.
- Manage your money. Pix transfers, a savings account that earns interest and loans at the "Banco da Ilha" (Island Bank), with installments due on the 20th.
- Buy a lot and build. Choose the lot and the house model: the builder puts it up stage by stage, in front of everyone.
- Furnish and renovate. Sofa, bed, TV and fridge. Then paint the front and grow from a small house to a two-story home.
- Open your business. A shop with your name, staff you hire and the cash register in your hands. Or rent out your house and become a landlord.
The in-game money is L$. Missions guide the way: 16 missions across 7 levels, from "Recém-chegado" (Newcomer) to "Lenda da ilha" (Island legend), and each completed mission pays in L$ and raises your level.
An island that never stops
In LUME Land, one real day equals one week of island life. The time of day matches Brasília time, but the calendar moves faster. Every resident has a home, a family, a job, money in the bank and opinions:
- Economy: companies pay salaries on the 5th, bills are due on the 10th, and a business that does badly lays people off or closes.
- The city grows: construction shows up stage by stage, from the excavator to the grand opening.
- Mayor election: with rallies in the square, polls and a debate; each resident decides their vote in their own way.
- Residents with memory: they remember you and answer when you start a conversation.
- The island newspaper: one edition per day of island life, written from what really happened.

The neighborhoods
The island is split into neighborhoods such as Centro, Vila Esperança, Jardim Primavera and Morro da Boa Vista, plus the Porto (port), where the ferry docks, and Costa Dourada, south of Jardim Primavera. Walk to the end of the sidewalk and you reach the next neighborhood; Rua das Ideias and Rua da Vila cross the whole island.
Where to play
LUME Land runs in the web browser on computers and phones, with nothing to install. On iPhone, Safari lets you add the game to your Home Screen. If a door won't open on iPhone, see LUME Land door won't open on iPhone.
