How to change clothes, hair and your look in LUME Land

Quick answer

To change clothes in LUME Land, click “Meu boneco” (My character), or 🧍 on a phone, pick items in the Outfits, Tops, Bottoms, Shoes and Accessories tabs and click “Pronto” (Done). Clothes change whenever you like; new hair or a new beard needs a cut at Kaleo's barbershop in Centro.

Your character's look in LUME Land changes in the "Meu boneco" (My character) panel. You swap clothes and accessories whenever you want; new items come from the island's shops, and hair and beards change at the barbershop. Whatever you save shows for everyone. The game is in Portuguese, so labels appear in quotes with their meaning. If you haven't created your character yet, see How to create your character in LUME Land.

Step by step

Open "Meu boneco". On a computer, click "Meu boneco" at the top. On a phone, tap the 🧍 button.
Pick a tab: "Conjuntos" (Outfits), "Cima" (Tops), "Baixo" (Bottoms), "Sapatos" (Shoes), "Acessórios" (Accessories), "Cabelo" (Hair) or "Corpo" (Body).
Click an item. The thumbnails show your own character wearing each piece. Some parts have colors to choose from, and "Outra cor" (Another color) opens a free color picker.
Check the preview. The ◀ ▶ arrows turn your character, and the poses show how it looks standing, walking or sitting.
Click "Pronto" (Done). Your look is saved and you see "Salvo ✓ todo mundo vê." (Saved, everyone sees it).

Want to see it in three dimensions? "🧊 Ver em 3D" (View in 3D) opens your character in the 3D view.

New clothes: the Costa Dourada shops

The clothing shops are on Rua das Grifes, in Costa Dourada, open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Click the shop counter to see the menu with prices. When you buy, a message tells you the item went to your wardrobe: just put it on in "Meu boneco". The money goes to the shop's register, with a receipt and tax for City Hall.

Hair and beard: Kaleo's barbershop

Right after you create your resident, hair and beard are free to choose. After that, new hair and beards only come from Kaleo's barbershop in Centro: in "Meu boneco", those options show a 🔒 and the note "Cabelo novo só na barbearia do Kaleo ✂️ (Centro)." (New hair only at Kaleo's barbershop, Centro).

Go to Kaleo's barbershop in Centro.
Click the barber chair: Kaleo gives you a cut for L$ 45.
When the cut ends, "Meu boneco" opens by itself on the hair tab (or accessories, for a beard).
Choose the style and color and click "Pronto". The change stays unlocked for a while after the cut.

Changing your name

The name field is in "Meu boneco" itself and takes up to 16 characters. It is the name residents and other players see. To learn about the rest of the game, read What is LUME Land.
