How to check your Instagram automation history (what was answered)

Updated

Quick answer

To check your Instagram automation history, open Automations → History in LUME Hub. The screen lists the 200 most recent interactions: who wrote, the message received, the reply sent, whether it came from a rule or the AI, and the status (replied, failed, ignored or waiting for a follow). Filter by type and by status.

History is the screen that answers "did my automation work?". Every DM and comment that reaches the connected account shows up there, with what was replied or why nothing was. It is part of the Automations app (Complete plan), next to your DM auto reply rules.

The automation screens currently show their labels in Portuguese, so each label is quoted as it appears, followed by its meaning.

Step by step

  1. In the menu, open Automações → Histórico (Automations → History). The heading says, in Portuguese, that it lists every DM and comment received and what the automation replied.
  2. In the first filter, choose Todos os tipos ("All types"), DM or Comentário ("Comment").
  3. In the second filter, choose Todos os status ("All statuses"), Respondido ("Replied"), Falhou ("Failed") or Ignorado ("Ignored").
  4. Read the cards from newest to oldest. The screen shows the 200 most recent ones that pass the filters.
  5. On a card with a problem, read the yellow box O Instagram respondeu: ("Instagram replied:"), which holds the reason.

When the list is empty, you'll see a short "no history yet" note and a sample card tagged "exemplo" ("example").

What each card shows

  • The sender's handle, when Instagram provides it (otherwise "@—").
  • Type: "DM" or "comentário" ("comment").
  • Source: "por regra" ("by rule") or "por IA" ("by AI"). No tag means nothing replied.
  • Status, on the right (see the table below).
  • Recebido ("Received"): the text the person sent.
  • ↳: the reply the automation sent.
  • O Instagram respondeu: the error or reason, when there is one.
  • The date and time.

What each status means

Status on screenMeaning
Respondido (Replied)Instagram accepted the reply and it was sent.
Falhou (Failed)The Hub tried to reply and Instagram refused. The reason is in "O Instagram respondeu:". If the DM fails on a comment, the card shows Failed even if the public reply went out.
Ignorado (Ignored)Nothing replied: no rule matched and the AI was off, or a safeguard stopped it (see the codes below).
Aguardando seguir (Waiting for follow)The rule requires a follow and the person got the request with the "Já segui" (I followed) button.

"Aguardando seguir" has no filter of its own: it appears under Todos os status.

Codes you may see in the reason

Besides Instagram's own messages, the "O Instagram respondeu:" box can show a Hub code:

CodeWhat happened
sem_moduloThe account's plan doesn't include Instagram automations.
sem_tokenThe Instagram connection has no access. Reconnect under Automations → Connections.
limite_por_conversaThe person already got 8 automatic replies within 10 minutes.
limite_ia_diarioThe backup AI hit its daily reply limit.
ainda_nao_segueThe person doesn't follow the profile yet; the follow request was sent.

If History shows a lot of Ignored or Failed, go through Instagram auto reply not working. For the whole app, see the Instagram automations guide.

Frequently asked questions

Does the history show which rule replied?

It shows whether the reply came from a rule (“por regra”) or the AI (“por IA”) and the text sent. The rule's name isn't on the card; the reply text tells you which one it was.

How many interactions are listed?

The 200 most recent ones that pass the filters you chose, newest first.

Does deleting a rule delete its history?

No. Interactions stay in History after the rule is deleted.

Why does the handle show as “@—”?

When Instagram doesn't send the sender's username, which is common for DMs, the card shows a dash instead of the handle.
