How to create tasks by chatting with LAWD Assistant
Updated
Quick answer
To create a task with LAWD Assistant, type the request in plain words, saying what to do and when, such as “Create a task: call Paulo tomorrow”. LAWD creates the task in your LUME Hub account and confirms it in the chat. To see your day, ask “Which tasks do I have today?”.
Creating tasks is the most direct use of LAWD Assistant: you say what you need to do and it writes it down in your LUME Hub account, without you opening any list. These steps work in the browser and in the LAWD app. If you haven't opened LAWD yet, start with How to start using LAWD Assistant.
Step by step
- Open LAWD. In your browser (at lawd.me, "Abrir a LAWD no navegador", Open LAWD in the browser) or in the LAWD app, signed in with your LUME Account.
- Type the request with what and when. For example: "Cria uma tarefa: ligar para o Paulo amanhã" (Create a task: call Paulo tomorrow).
- Send it and read the confirmation. LAWD replies with what it created, like: Done, I created the task "Call Paulo" for tomorrow.
- Check your day. Ask "Quais tarefas eu tenho para hoje?" (Which tasks do I have today?) and LAWD lists what is in your LUME Hub account.
- Organize in the Hub whenever you want. Tasks created in the chat sit with the others in LUME Hub. See the Management section.
How to phrase a request LAWD gets right the first time
LAWD understands everyday language, but a few habits make tasks clearer:
- Start with the action. "Call", "reply", "review", "send": the verb becomes the task name.
- Say when. "Today", "tomorrow", "Friday". Without a date it is harder for the task to land on the right day.
- Say who or what it is about. "Reply to Ana's proposal" beats "reply to the proposal".
- Check the reply. The confirmation shows the task name and day. If something came out different from what you meant, say so in the chat.
